The "impulse buy" I25 hybrid 22 degree regular Harrison Zephyr 60 Shaft
Thought I might as well put this up for a couple of days before I put it on ebay just incase a PING aficionado comes along.
For those that have seen the thread in the lounge, I bought this at the weekend on a whim and regretted it as it just doesn't suit my eye. It's not as sleek as I like in a hybrid and a bit stubby looking for my taste. That said it is just my taste. I've heard tell it's a better players club but then it's a hybrid... Didn't think good players used those.
It is a Ping I25 22 degree hybrid fitted with a Harrison Zephyr 60 Regular shaft. Now this, despite the shaft, does not feel overly lighter than my JPX hybrids that carry 65g and 70g shafts. And as Foxholer kindly pointed out, Harrison have gone bust so has a bit or rarity (not that I have seen many around anyway).
This was an expensive upgrade to an already expensive club and as you can see from the pictures it looks brand new (it has literally hit 4 shots) save for a scratch in the paint of the shaft which is cosmetic only.
For a reg shaft, it doesn't feel whippy at all and is fairly at the firm end of the scale.
Grip is a PING ID8 and, as you would expect is perfect.
All in all, I paid £1 under £200 for this club BUT I also realise that it is now used (even very little) and with the scratch, although non affecting performance, does affect the value. Even with a standard shaft you would be looking at £149.
So, if it makes it to ebay it will go on higher than the £100 posted that I am offering it to all you good fellow forumites for. A potential Christmas bargain for someone.
It's a big loss but once the wife finds out about it that's the least of my problems. If no-one wants it then no worries but thought you guys might want first dibs.
