Went to 2 of my local driving ranges tonight to find that both have now stopped opening after dark due to the high cost of running the floodlights after the increase in energy prices. Found this really frustrating, though understandable,as I am getting home after dark most nights so cannot get any practice in.

Anyone else experiencing similar?

I havent experienced this but why dont they just put there prices up?

Thats how most other business' work and through the winter they'll have to provide some sort of service surely?

yea I agree with minty, how will they make any money at all through closing at night, instead of increasing prices and perhaps suffering a slight loss of custom as a result.

It depends how much the price of electric has affected the range. if they open at night and do not get a big enough turnover of custom regardless of pricing they could end up losing a fortune, and custom could reduce if price was to rise, its probably more sense to close.
