I am normally even to lazy to use headcovers on my woods and hybrids (and I don't even have one for my driver, but if you knew my driver that would not surprise you). And I think I would just lose them all over the place. Most useless part of golf equipment ever invented, if you ask me.
 
Like a hardened fighter is proud of a few scars, a set of serious irons should have a bit of bag chatter, as well as a small neat wear mark on the sweet spot, of course. Iron head covers are an abomination.

Wipe the faces clean after a divot shot, and clean them with a small scrubbing brush and some washing detergent after use and they will last longer than your game.
 
I am yes for covers, have had them on all my irons for the last few sets and they do keep them fron getting bag clatter, but I do clean them after use and get lots of comments `are they new clubs?`, and they will be easier to sell when you want to upgrade to new shineys again!
