The honeymoon of great golfing weather is over, well at least for today anyway. Full-on heavy rain all day for our medal so the full waterproofs and change of shoes have been unpacked for the fist time in nearly 6 months rain.gif

The golfing gods have been good to us this year I think and I'm sure this is only temporary and their blowing their tubes and the good golfing weather will return, we can't complain, well we can :smirk:

Was supposed to be dry when I'm out this afternoon but that looks to have changed to rain now. HID has left as he's playing in a shotgun and as usual has one of the longest walks to their starting hole. He's not bothered and is having a huge breakfast at the club before they go out. At least the rains not as heavy as it was. Woke me up at some ungodly hour this morning when it was really coming down.

Gave golf a swerve today for a lovely meal and a few beers with Mrs H last night and looking out of the window about 9.00 this morning it seemed a sound choice. Not so much now the extra beers are kicking in but wasn't really too bothered getting soaked to play in the usual roll up. Weather looking better tomorrow and may see if there's a game going in the morning or hit some balls and work on my approach play and bunker shots from wet sand ready for the winter. Was going to the range this afternoon but may doze in front of the sport instead

I'm gutted its lashing down. Wanted to go and play today too but instead I'm sat here eating angel delight (butterscotch) typing on my ipad and hoping the dog doesn't want to go outside to releive its self. Hopefully weather will be nicer tomorrow to play.

We decided not to bother today although HID in a foursomes comp so will be getting drenched...

Playing at Gogs tomorrow so looking forward to that and forecast for dry but chilly.

Feel for all those souls who work Mon-Fri when its been glorious late summer weather and today it tips it down.

Did not bother today. Started lashing it down at 9 and has been raining on and off ever since. Luckily on gardening leave for 2 weeks so played 3 times in the week and can play all next week if the weather permits

Sorry to rub it in but it is 26 degrees here in the Algarve

Drenched on the front 9, started very poor off the tee and got back to handicap on the turn only to have 2 terrible triples on 10 & 11 :( Battled on and got a few half decent holes in and pulled some shots back but need a par to buffer on the 18th and tried too hard :(

Good old 0.1 but I got my first birdie (2) since joining so picking up some dosh, gotta take the positives

All my gear currently in the tumble drier ready for me to tear up Copsewood tomorrow

Bright sunshine for most of the round this afternoon as all the rain had passed over in the morning. If it wasn't for the wind (and my golf) it would have been a perfect day.
