With the League title under the belt it was the end of season league field day today and we managed to win the team event by 3 shots and the youngest member of the team managed to win the Presidents Bowl which we were playing for with a knock of +2 72 in tricky conditions...a great score given that some of the pin placements had to be seen to believed!
Next week is the whole of the North East league winners team event at Chester Le Street and I think we could have a real chance if we all perform but it would be a huge ask....at the end of the day though I see it as a day out as a reward for the lads hard work thoughout the season and anything of note would be a bonus.
Then it is D-Day....Saturday 3rd October is the League Cup final v Bamburgh and I think it is fair to say all our eyes are focussed on this prize and to win it would cap off an unbeleivable season for us.....here's hoping!
I also hope to have a hugely sore head come Sunday 4th October....
