Me and my best mate (works round the corner, touch!) just went and got a pub lunch.

Gammon Steak bigger than the plate, with pineapple, bundles of chips, peas. Garlic Bread. All x2.

2 Pints of Spitfire
2 Pints of Fosters

£19.00

Now that is what I call value.

It isnt us Mono and Im sure smiffy will say the same.

The used car business is in very good shape.

The problem is that the new car market is on its knees so the likes of us are struggling to find decent retailable stock.

The downside to the media reports is that we are inundated with people who think they will get huge discounts as they believe the car trade as a whole is bad.

looking to buy mate.... baby on the way (although still early doors) and the mrs drives a 3 door KA at the moment. She likes the Aclass and i think they look pretty tidy (for a lady of course)

I wouldnt buy one mate, honestly and I am a merc nut and owners club member.

The principle fault is with the body control module. They control most of the electrics and do, and will fail, often and without notice.

The repair cost is £1000 or so.

The only way to own a merc is an auto (manuals are so hard to re-sell) however the auto & semi auto gearboxes on a-class' are awful. I know an independant merc specialist and he has seen them with as little as 20k in there for new gearboxes.

Repair cost £1500-£2700 if module goes also.

The audi A2, available in similar price-range, looks good, bomb-proof reliability and will hold its cash. Thats my bet for something that size.

Just had a sneaky peak at the A2 and it looks pretty tidy, i'll try and push her towards one of those.

My A4 goes back soon thank god! Cant fit the clubs in the boot if the driver is in the bag and cant out the roof down if my clubs and trolley are in the boot.... how pointless.

Definitely not a fan of convertibles, give me air-con any time.
