Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to put it out there as I am looking at purchasing TGM by Homer Kelley and wondered if anyone had any success?
Is it really worth the prices I am seeing on amazon for around £40?

I think I do like the technical learning so this book could be for me, i would love to hear anyones opinions on the book.

Many years ago (back in the 80s) I recall GM doing an ongoing series on this. I cant recall exactly what the content was, but I would assume that someone on here has GMs going back that far that may be able to help?

The book you are looking at is the biography for Homer rather than the teaching manual, even second hand the 7th edition is around £40 ive seen on the net.

ive also bough the book "how to feel a real golf swing" by Bob toski, has anyone read that one?

Im stocking up as im going away next week for a couple of months and going to overload on info!

You could also try a book by Michael Hebron - golf mind golf body golf swing. It includes a section called something like impressions from his reading of homer kellys TGM. It could be considered to be a reasonable introduction to some of the stuff in TGM and it's probably a little more approachable.

apologies, I didnt look inside it. I remember reading the Golfing Machine many years ago, its not difficult to understand and it certainly makes sense, however I feel it converts "two turns and a swish" into something you don't really want taking up space in your head.............IMO.

That book does look interesting however there is one left on amazon at a nice price of £70, I'll keep searching though as it does look appealing.

No worries Darth i made the same mistake and nearly bought it until i spotted the subtle difference, but i know what your saying with regards to filling your head full of facts. At the moment though i personally feel i need to know everything about my swing so when it is failing i can pinpoint the errors and have a good go at it rather than guessing down the range.
