Ok this has been bugging me for a while now - and I don't care if it does make me sound like a Grumpy

Why, Oh Why does a Professional Tournament Golfer/Commentator/Pundit/Analyst insist on saying Golf Course, Golf Ball, Golf Club or Golf Swing all the time...?
They are Professional Golfers, Commentators, Analysts etc.
They are talking about Golf
They are being interviewed as Golfers/etc etc
They are talking to Golfers...

What Course, Ball, Club or swing do they think we think they're talking about?

In Cricket, it's a Bat or a Ball or a Wicket, or a Pitch....not a Cricket Pitch, Cricket Bat, Cricket Ball etc etc ...

I feel better now......

Same as footie managers and players saying 'football' club. No need for the football, just say I like playing for the club.

I clearly remember an interview a fair few years ago where big Jack did that a lot. Seemed odd but I assumed it was a USA thing ('sidewalks' and all that).

I'm a big fan of the "in depth" channel 5 documentary type program where just before an ad break they tell you what's coming up in the next bit, so there is absolutely no point in watching it

Oh we are grumpy today :)

This is why I don't watch mini series, like 24.

If I buy a box set, why isn't there the option of watching it like a film, from start to finish, no credits, flash forwards, flash backs, etc. it would only take a bit of editing, and I could watch a whole series in about 4 hours. Perfect.
