The golf show - bluewater

Anyone going along this weekend?

I'm playing tomorrow morning but will head over to bluewater in the afternoon to check it out.

Is this the London Golf Show?

I went 2 or 3 years ago, it was awful. At the time it was at Earls Court 2. The room was 40% / 35% full - a few bays which were staffed by young guys from the manufacturers - plenty of queuing. At the time I wanted a new wedge from Wilson Staff - went to the bay and there were 2 children flinging some balls about, it was more like a creche than a golf bay!

The competitions (longest drive & hole in one) were awful - the hole in one prize was a car. Except, you had to 'qualify' with a nearest the pin shot first, then top 10 brought back to have 1 shot to get a hole in one. If you got a hole in one in your 3 nearest the pin tries, it didn't count. Needless to say, it wasn't well received!!!

All the other stands were just golf holidays or expensive training equipment. I kid you not, £25 for 3 alignment sticks.

The only good thing was I managed to get a half price wedge from Wilson Staff because they'd used it for a few demos.

Yes mate, the London show.

I'd agree with you based on your experience from 3 years ago....I swore I'd never go again. But I went last year and it was an improvement. I know someone who works for them and he says this year will be better..... I've not paid for a ticket so will give it a bash. I've had my SLDR for 7/8 months.....MUST be time for a new driver

By the looks of things you'll have plenty of choice from TM now!!

Let us know how it is if you do go, would be good to see how they've made it better. I might be tempted into it next year that way!
