Getting a little nostalgic looking at the user list of this forum by date of registration to see if I could find the original 1st ever post. Posts disappear after 200 I think but most users only post a few times before disappearing. As far as I can see the first non-GM staffer to register (26th June 2006) who then actually posted was Andri-V. Not sure what the first post was cos he then waited until 7th July 06 to post but could it be this one, posted by 'Nick' on 3rd July 2006 -

Not a classic post is it but a start !!!? Things have only gone downhill since!

There are thousands of usernames out there, one or two that caught my eye are/were – Wobbleywilt, Fatbadshark and Fruiteethins.

Have you any favourite usernames you wish you'd thought of?

The longest surviving active forummer appears to Marko77 who is still posting after 4 years - well done to that man!!

I have tried to give up the forum but it's quite annoyingly addictive, don't post as much as I used to but still enjoy the craic! ;)

Sentiment over! :p

I like thecraw, he seems like a decent spud, talks a lot of sense too!

Not a *** in the slightest!

(Come on Brendy, that ones for you, I know your lurking!!!!!)

Just looked out my first post from nearly three and a half years ago back in May 2007 and the subject was......

Yes, custom fitting and it did not kick off a big argument back in those days. In fact it was coupled with another favourite topic, bad service in golf warehouses as I was new to the game, very naive and I was told by some numpty that him watching me hit half a dozen balls and telling me that the clubs seemed OK constituted a custom fitting session.

As for great names, Furyk-or-unique was a good one as was ProV1-Kenobi

Browsing through all the names for a few minutes I find it incredible that people spend time and effort signing up, up-load an avatar and insert links to websites and then never post.
There's guys (or Gals) from 18 months/2years back that have done all this and never posted. And I only got to the "d"'s!
Ok they may be lurkers, reading and not writing and if you are then get posting!!

How did you do that? Is there a way to see more than your last 200 posts?

I went into my user options and it happened to be in my 'favourite topics' list. Did not know how to get the most recent posts at the top of hte page in those days so must have marked it as a favourite so as I could see any replies.

If the forum started up in 2006 then it must be its fifth brthday next year. Sounds like grounds for celebration.

Do you know, this is the first I read this! haha.
Im now working on the premise, if noone reports it and it doesnt offend me, it can stay. I agree with you though, not a t"@t in the slightest, youre worse than that :D

I dont see the point in registering or signing up to a forum if your not going to avail of the service.....
Its the best thing i have done.......Im on Facebook too but the craic and banther on here beats that hands down.

Boabski you're still alive!

I know, it's the same boring old farts that post over and over about the same old stuff, never know when to shut up, going on and on.........

Hang on, that's me! :o ;)

Injured so not playing and winter coming on, things are only going to get worse!
