I quite liked the idea of the Golfdotz that came free in GM, a bit of a different way to mark your ball, easy to apply etc so what could possibly go wrong. The fact that they only stayed on the ball for one hole seems to be a bit of a down side. I tried them on Saturday, played the first hole, picked my ball out of the cup and both of the stickers that I had put on had worn off (and no I did not take that many shots). Thought it may be the way I had applied them so tried another ball that I had marked up on the second hole. Same again, by the end of the hole there were no stickers.

Thankfully there was not a situation over those 2 holes where I had to identify my ball as the supposed distinguishing stickers would have been long gone.

So, nice idea but in all practical senses, useless.

so does anyone reckon "golfdotz are incredible I will never use anything to mark my ball again " or "the guys on the PGA tour are going crazy for these things ,Golfdots are a big hit " or any of the other statements on the back of the pack they come in may be (must be careful here) slightly exaggerated ??:)

I said a couple days ago on another thread that is was a good idea but that they only stayed on for a couple holes max but saying that I did manage the back 9 the other day with it still on. The pros like them coz they probably change ball every couple of holes so don't really notice them coming off.

2 black dots either side of the number and I'm done. Not keen on balls emblazoned with stuff - I like them to look white and big!! Found a nice Soft Feel but gave me a headache every time I putted with it as it had so much red and green markings on it...

well disappointed with mine they must have been a faulty set in my magazine as every one of them stuck to the paper not the plastic strip. Well i will not be buying them i was going to but i have changed my mind bad product

I said on the other thread I didn't see the point, but eventually being a typical bloke though lets give it a go and then applied them and though god they look crap so stopped applying them after doing 2 balls.

Used one at my old mans club Yesterday by the 3rd tee i had to get my trusty sharpie out and stick a couple of pink dots on it to identify it.
