We have sadly missed TAAs passing imo.
We havnt got anyone who can play a 50yd ball .
We have missed it , hence why we need someone like Wharton to play those balls

Can’t agree there .There was plenty in front of him he just doesn’t have that in his game to be switching the play , he had pace and power and running with the ball but he can’t dictate the pace of the game , it’s why we need someone like Wharton
So their performances were never bigged up because of their assists from corners, etc? Can’t recall Robertson scoring many free kicks or any
And Trents passing ability is one of the best in the world

TAA was more criticised for his defending and didn’t get enough praise for his attacking play.So their performances were never bigged up because of their assists from corners, etc?

He had Gakpo and Salah in front of him most of the season and both were awful.
Once we lost Eketike we were shocking up front
Reports on the BBC saying City have had an initial bid for Anderson turned down by Forest and are also interested in a couple of other players.
I find this quite weird from the point of view that they don’t have a manager.
I get that modern professionals should be able to adapt to how managers want them to play, but what if the new guy doesn’t rate a player or wants someone else to play a particular role.
I’d of thought City’s or anyone else without a manager would be making that the priority.![]()
It seems clubs in this country are heading more towards the continental system where the people above the manager work on the transfers and the manager is just given the players to work with.Reports on the BBC saying City have had an initial bid for Anderson turned down by Forest and are also interested in a couple of other players.

I wonder if City know when it will be announced and if there is going to be a transfer ban and might be trying to get players in early knowing they can’t buy anyone after a certain date. When is the verdict of the 115 charges finally going to be revealed. I heard plenty of rumours it would be just after the end of the season. It would surely be in everyone's interest for this to happen asap, especially as the transfer window opens. Man City have just lost Pep, and they could potentially be facing a very high points deduction. Are these factors not potentially very off putting for a player thinking about signing for City?
The new manager is likely to be nowhere near Pep's level. Is there not a risk Man City could be facing a chaotic / unsettled spell? Especially if they get a huge points deduction. Maybe it doesn't get them relegated, but it may end their hopes of playing in Europe the season after next.
I’d expect that with a manager in position, but it can also have its downfalls, ie, Forest & Edu.It seems clubs in this country are heading more towards the continental system where the people above the manager work on the transfers and the manager is just given the players to work with.
I’m sure a manager will have a say in what position and style of player they would like at most clubs then those above work on who to bring in
Perhaps. You would think players and their agents would be hyper aware of the potential complications signing for City at the moment. In previous years, City was a very good option for most top players. Big salary, Pep and high liklihood you wouold be competing for trophies.I wonder if City know when it will be announced and if there is going to be a transfer ban and might be trying to get players in early knowing they can’t buy anyone after a certain date.
Just a thought rather than any evidence
Maybe they already have a manager lined up and he’s advising in the background?
It could be a double edged sword.Perhaps. You would think players and their agents would be hyper aware of the potential complications signing for City at the moment. No Pep, but the other factors may still apply next year. Or, they may dramatically be ruled out if the charges are significant, and the new manager struggles. They'll still get paid very well, but I'm sure some players may think twice, whereas last summer they may have jumped at the chance to sign for City.

I guess there are certain players who will be the subject of a LOT of interest domestically, who are known quality, and it may be in City's best interests to strike early despite publicly having no manager, especially before a WC, where a player might be exposed to a much wider audience and generate more interest.I’d expect that with a manager in position, but it can also have its downfalls, ie, Forest & Edu.
I just thought someone like City would of announced the Manager before chasing players.
It’s a different system than what we are used to that’s for sure.I’d expect that with a manager in position, but it can also have its downfalls, ie, Forest & Edu.

Anderson would be one such player in that bracket.
I understand about certain players having interest in them, but with a lot of uncertainty over the manager, charges etc there’s going to be a lot of issues to be ironed out, plus, does it put the player in a more powerful position when it comes to negotiations. It’s a different system than what we are used to that’s for sure.
I could see some instances where a player isn’t fancied by the manager and ends up not playing at all having just transferred.
I suppose with someone like City they are looking at top players rather than taking a punt on someone.
Any manager you would think would be happy to have Anderson in their squad
