just wondering is it a bit of a poisened chalace for managers? Who in recent history has walked away with a better rep after being the england manager than before they started?
I mean Harry has done an amazing job at spurs but is he risking it all on a bit of dead horse?
One bad comp or result and we call for the managers head at international level.

I seriously think at spurs if he stayed there they can be a top team in europe not just in England.

I would love nothing more to see England do well and actually win something but in the big comps and games we just seem to lack the desired minerals as an outfit and its nothing to do with individual talent we got some of the best players in the world

Glenn Hoddle...oh wait no...Sven...oh wait no...

The problem is, the English national team is nowhere near the standard of the English premier league in terms of football. So the English think we are a great team...but we aren't. We are a good team, but not a great team.

As a Fulham fan I think Hodgson did a great job with average players and got the most out of them. He's done that at international level too with the likes of Switzerland etc. He's on the technical coaching panel at FIFA so is one of the most qualified coaches in world. If you take the Liverpool debacle as an abhorration (probably faults on all sides) then he has been very good wherever he goes. Won't bring the baggage Harry or some others in thpast have done. He's the sort of man the FA wouldn't be worried about and lets face it he is a decent coach
