Members of the GM Forum, I fear that my time here is done. This evening, for the umpteenth time, I’ve responded to a post only to find that I’ve been logged out of the forum and thus, my post lost!! It tells me, as I’m writing it, that my post has been ‘auto saved’ – where it’s been auto saved to is a complete mystery to me!!
So, it is with deep regret that I must call time on my many ramblings and musings and perhaps go and find something more worthwhile – like watching ‘The Only Way is Essex!!
I’ve even had to write this in WORD and copy and paste it over as I knew I’d get logged out if I did it direct in the forum!!
I’m still not sure why the forum had to change, I thought it was great as it was but then I guess it’s been done to satisfy the iPod/iPad users.
I don’t understand why it changed from a very user friendly format to one that requires a first class degree from Cambridge in molecular computing coupled with a one on one IT session with Bill Gates himself before the user can navigate himself around it. Chris661 helped in one instance – many thanks, Sir and others have told me to delete my old bookmark and add the new forum as a favourite which I’ve done and I’m still being logged out after about three nanoseconds!!
So, my blood pressure and frustration levels can take no more and, very reluctantly, I’m off.
To the forummers I’ve met – it’s been an absolute honour to have met you all and I wish you all the best in your golfing futures.
To the forummers that I haven’t met – you were lucky!! Good luck to you anyway.
To Mike and the GM team – thank you doesn’t seem anywhere near enough for the many, many things you’ve given to me over the last two years – in particular the ‘Wilson/Padraig’ day which still puts a smile on my face to this very day but enough’s enough and I simply cannot get on with the new format.
