Don't think we'll get an outcome for another 5 years the way the legal system works over there; by that time we'll all be using the new Dunlop XR3I spongeballs (or whatever else the tech boys comes up with).
don't care me......always use donnay titanium......(no, that's not right)......always use pinnacle gold.......(no, that's not them either)......what do I use.......oh yes, anything but proVs!!!
I agree no outcome for a long time! I use nxt they give good distance and have a nice feel when i put. Never use pro v 10.95 for a sleeve of 3 where nxt£7.95 mind you they are usually gone after about 6 holes ha ha
I use prov1s out of personal preference also use nxt's in winter.
If they pick on the provs they'l more than likely say the same about all titleist balls.
I agree also that it will probably take years to come to anything.
By then il probably be fishing again lol
I may be mistaken but I am sure I read an article re this stating that it was Bridgestone that had brought this action against the pro v. Also remember reading somewhere that the Bridgestone b330 was the same ball as pro v??
It was Bridgestone, and they agreed a royalty payment. I would be surprised if Callaway have a patent that is infringed by the prov, but wait and see. If so, no wonder the prov is best, as it is an amalgamation of the best of the bridgestone and the cally.
As previously said, it will take years to come to court, and by then all the current balls will be off the market, and new shiny hexagonal ones will be in play.
i am with you murph there was a story ages ago that the pro v idea was nicked from bridgestone Callaway have a cheek there flagship ball cuts up after 5 holes
