I have absolutely no problem whatsoever with men, women, ladyboys, undecideds etc etc using whatever attributes they have (within acceptable social values) to promote themselves and earn a decent living in today's commercial world.

Here is Carly Booth's current Twitter (ie commercial venture) profile pic.

Now, for those of you who don't believe that modern, savvy, fit and attractive young women aren't selling sex-appeal when their actual golf game is not good enough, take a long hard look and tell me what kind of audience she is trying to appeal to.

Time to get real.

I can't recall many saying they werent doing any of the above.
I believe much of the opinion rests around whether they SHOULD be doing it.

Its a funny old world where in some part we are told we need to move with the times, especially where golf is concerned, and that its a digital world we live in but at the same time pillory people that do exactly that.

Booth, Spiranac and others are making huge amounts of money from these activities and yet there are calls of exploitation etc etc.
But the real question is who is exploiting who when it comes to social engineering and digital marketing?

My view? What ever happened to people being responsible and accountable for their own actions? Let people get on with it I say.

Sex sells shocker.

Well in the interests of casual misogyny, at least the male golfers never resort to those tactics and just let the golf do the talking....

Sad people who get het up over the fact that some women can be both good golfers and also attractive??

If she's putting extra dosh into her bank account, using her .... attributes.... and she's not hurting anyone or breaking the law, good luck to her.

Or maybe we should have criticised Tiger for the Gilette ad, or Rory for the Santander ad.

Imagine Laura Davies doing a shoot like that........

Good luck to anyone using their attributes to make extra dosh, I think the initial thread was more about the fact others had proved themselves as successful on the Golf Course before the Sponsors came looking, as Spiranac hasn't, is she simply a model that can play Golf? (Good luck to her and who wouldn't turn down the money)

There is one thing being a professional golfer, playing on the tour and then using your own personals to gain attention and probably income, but it's a totally another thing to just be a social "climber" using the socialsoftware to gain access to a golf tour just because of the amount of "followers" you have.
All I can say is I'm glad Jesus never took up golf;)

Good luck to 'em. Everyone needs to put bread on the table as long as it's not breaking the law crack on if anyone doesn't like what they are doing don't look/ follow 'em.

I seem to remember Sophie Sandolo being attacked by the LPGA and others for her calenders:)
She was so much easier on the eye than Carly.

Carly isn't doing much on the course so she is perusing other financial options

To be fair to Carly, she was a European No1 Lady Amateur and did win a couple of LET tournaments in 2012. She is a bit of a gym bunny and gives the ball a fair old clip. However I have watched her play a few times and her course management and short game can be a bit suspect on occasions. I suspect that if you could persuade Lydia Ko to caddy and read the greens for her, she could be a winner again.

I'd much sooner play a round with Laura Davies than Carly Booth, Davies is a legend and I'm sure she'd be great fun to share a round with.

Totally agree that Davies is a golfing legend, however to give her her due, I bumped into Carly Booth at The Open last year. She took time to pose for a photo with my daughter and was very polite and supportive of a 6 year old who had started to play golf. She gave Abigail a high five and told her to keep enjoying golf - a very pleasant young lady.

If she wants to pose in a bikini - its her call ( or that of her agent/management team)
