Only 22 more sleeps until the best racing festival begins and the 1st day is lining up to be a cracker!

The Champion Hurdle this year looks like the hottest it's been in years with the young'uns trying to out do the formidable Hurricane Fly.

I'm finding it very very difficult to oppose Hurricane Fly but at the age of 11 if he does win then it'll be a magnificent achievement.

Our Conor is probably the best of the younger contenders though if the grounds really soft then Melodic Rendezvous will be in with a shout.

The Mares hurdle will undoubtedly go to Quevega.

I'm going down Tuesday morning and may stay there til Friday 😁

Will watch the Champion Hurdle on TV after a game of golf Tuesday morning, then going down for 3 days, Wednesday to Friday.

Start of the sporting year. Can't wait.

I'm down there Friday. Get taken out through a friend and get free food and drink all day and even some betting money :D
Hope the weather is better than last year and nobody falls off due to the course rails not being setup properly!

hope we all give the bookies a good hiding

Best week of the year. Me and a few mates usually take a week off and are in the boozer from 12noon for the 4 days.

Only ante-post bed I've had so far is a double on The Fly and Big Bucks. Shaping up to be a very open Gold Cup. Key to making money at Cheltenham is getting the winners of a few of the handicaps. If you can find a 14/1-20/1 winner, yer laughing.

Without doubt the week of the year i look forward to most

Fancy The New One to turn the tables on MTOY on thier last running and hopefully give the Fly something to think about.

Was hoping the Tizzards seen sense and gave my favorite horse in training Cue Card the easier of the two assignments in the RyanAir. As much as i love him, i cant see him staying the GC distance , and i have taken the 4/1 NRNB in the Ryanair. I also have S.Conti in the GC so if CC didnt go there it was save me extra pennies as i would have to do both.

Whats peoples opinions on the World Hurdle? PErsonally i feel Big Bucks will come on for reappearance, and is worth a bet!

Ive stuck £100 on a Hurricane Fly / Quevega double

This has been my main bet for the last 3yrs and its landed twice.

The way Ruby got "The Queen" up last year was immense, i just really really hope the old boy 'Fly can give us another delightful day at Prestbury Park.

I honestly don't think MTOY has the quality to win the Champion Hurdle though TNO and Our Conor look the obvious danger to Hurricane Fly.

I honestly think Annie Power will step up and take Big Bucks on, i can't see Willie Mullins allowing to have Annie Power line up against his blue eye.

The Gold Cup is another cracker but although Bobs Worth has been seen and done it, i think Last Instalment will have a big say in it.

I also have backed Golantilla for the Bumper, i had my balls on it last year but I'm confident i get my dough back this year.

I feel your pain, worked in bookies for 10 years. Turned into a horrendous job, so glad I'm out of it.

I must admit bookmakers shops tend to attract some really bad lowlife individuals, who throw money in them FOBT's without a seconds thought.

I very rarely go in the shop for a bet.

There's that and the sell sell sell culture placed on the staff. You can't sell people stuff they don't want, especially in a betting shop.
