Find myself watching, in a round about way, the Brit Awards. I'm clearly getting old as I've never heard of half the nominees and the ones who are winning the awards are no great shakes either. Is this really the best that the British music industry has to offer at the moment?? :(

There's a lot of terrible british music, but there's also some good stuff. Jessie J and Labrinth to name but two.

Jessie J I know and Price Tag is my favourite pre-golf track as it pops in my head when putting and clears out the rubbish...

Labrinth - another "WHO" for me!

Lol.

I only know half the latest stuff as HID has Radio 1 on in the car. When I'm driving on my own it's Planet Rock or Absolute 90s for me!

Music at the moment is pants.
I honestly can't think of any music that's been made in the last 10 years that you will still hear being played in 20 years time.
But you will still hearing 60s, 70s, and 80s stuff.

Florence and the Machine
Vaccines
Twin Atlantic
The Big Pink

Just a few but British music is pretty darn good at present.

And to think at one time Blur thought they were better than Oasis

Worst sound and performance no wonder they faded away, total pants

A shame, really. Coxon is a beastly guitarist. Albarn is still a knob, apparently.

I really don't get the hype with Adele, she is totally and utterly dull. Great voice wasted by terrible, terrible songs.

Same goes for Ed Sheeran. I liked one of his songs but everything I've heard since has been dross. Jason Mraz does it so much better.
