This is something Simon Mayo and Mark Kermode did a couple of months back but interested to hear other suggestions.

For me it's (in no particular order)

The Magnificent Seven
Star Wars
Superman
The Great Escape

any of the Ennio Morricone scores (Fitsful of dollars, good the bad and the ugly etc)

most of the James Bond films

Jaws

Deliverance, just for the duelling banjo's scene :)

Gladiator
Lord of the Rings trilogy
Amadeus
Oliver

The music in Tarantino movies is also usually very good; and soundtrack to the Kings Speech is also excellent.

Yes - they're all good

Yes some of the latter ones are dodgy - Die Another Day in particular!! A good game to play on long car journeys - get the CD that has all the James Bond themes on it, stick it on 'random' play and then points are awarded for song, artist, film, who played Bond, principal villain (actor and character), main bond girl (actress and characte). Delays "are we there yet" for ages!! :D

mine would be

Blade Runner -Vangelis

Excalibur- Classical Orf/Wagner

Pulp Fiction - allsorts

I've even got the soundtracks for the first two though both on vynl.

Great choices, I have all of the above on my iphone for listening while travelling. Ennio Morricone tracked films could be placed onto virtually any type of film and still sound epic (real sense of the word) considering how entwined they are with Western genre films.

Not many songs give me goosebumps....

Examples
The ecstasy of Gold, fantastic orchestral piece with the singer making theis part of the film very atmospheric and captures the essence brilliantly.

Was used in Nike adverts

Metallica gave it a nod also.

Um....

Hard to say. I conducted Star Wars not so long ago, the "original" London Symphony Orchestra, John Williams signature score. Pretty cool.

I love John Barry (Bond, Out of Africa, Dances with Wolves)
Ennio Morricone is good, Bernard Herrmann.

Not overly keen on Howard Shore and detest James Horner. Hans Zimmer and Klaus Badelt are much of a muchness.

My favourite modern film composer is Harry Gregson-Williams.

Star Wars
ET
Chronicles of Narnia
Tron - Legacy (Daft Punk)
Meet Joe Black (Thomas Newmann - who I think did Finding Nemo)

Showing my age a bit, but...

Shaft - Isaac Hayes
Local Hero - Mark Knopfler & Alan Clark
The Sting
Crossroads
Saturday Night Fever
