Well, what a day! Started on the red course for 18 but needed a bigger sombrero to win, 44 points won it!!!

After the buffet lunch it was onto the blue course for a greensomes, again my sombrero had been on a hot wash as 46 won it...and they only had 9 shots! I marked this pair and they were steady all the way round.

The course was in fantastic condition apart from the bunkers that hadn't drained from the rain yesterday. Greens were lightning fast and very true.

Hopefully I'll have better luck next year...

There are some large sombreros in that society! The red has some good chances for making points on the par 5s - but it also has some tough par 3s - 16 and, 11(??) spring to mind. I can't remember the last time I had 40 points!

I love the Berkshire and that is some good scoring around there. Glad you had a good day despite sharing the course with some Mexicans!
