Morning chaps , have some vouchers for the belfry , anybody been thru a custom fit there recently , looking to go for a new big dog woof woof

They are in the process of refurbing all of the fitting rooms and I think the Ping room is only days away from completion. Apparently the fitting on offer will be as good as it gets when the fitting rooms are complete and the Belfry will be a central hub for pros to get fitted. I'd give it a few weeks and then book in

I'm not sure on that one if I'm honest but I will find out for you

I may be having a fitting for a new big dog myself next weekend but I'm set on the G25 anyway so it's just a case of which shaft is best. I will ask on the day and get back to you.

I've hit The G25 a few times now and its a beast. I was going to wait for it to drop in price but I've lost my patience with it now and want it in the bag for the new season LOL

After refurb I believe they will be offering fittings for four manufacturers; TaylorMade, Titleist, Callaway & Ping.

If that limit is OK with you then, based upon my personal experiences, you are likely to get excellent service.

The belfry fitting rooms used to be staffed by belfry golf pro's contracted to x amount of free fitting they have to give in leu of rent for being a pro and using the belfry's premises. As of now they have scrapped that. The staff for fittings will now be provided by the manufactorers. The upside is you will have choice of all the clubs and more importaintly, shafts in the range. The down side is that you cant go in and say " I want to try a ping, titelist, callaway and nike driver" you would have to pay for 4 fittings.

Imo a masaive step back for the belfry. Going in and trying lots of different manufactorers is what appealed to me. If like some, every club in your bag is from the same manufactorer then this would be right up your street

And nike

Seems a backward move for the common golfer and fittings. Surely they want to try as much as they can and find something that works and so by reducing them to picking and paying for manufacturer x, they are denying them the chance to test like against like. What happens if you hit the G25 well but want to trial it against a Cally X hot? Not a good decision.

I know it's OT....but every time I go to the Belfry Store it has been very good and not badly priced!
Everytime i've purchased a club they've been the cheapest. They are slow to drop prices after a product has been out for a while though. Their golf balls are a rip off.

Oh and i've just been the range. Nike clubs are being sold there this year but no nike fitting facility's. The nike fitting room will be the new reception

Even as a member if they wont let me hit against other clubs i'll be taking my money else where. Might try AG. Them boys seem to know their stuff.

That is what I understood. They will no longer be able to offer fittings for Mizuno, Cobra, Nike, Cleveland or Wilson.

Certainly haven't been too slow dropping prices in the shop prior to its refit. Some very attractive half-price deals have been available, ta very much! New putter, driver, fairway and hybrid now in the bag.

They had 20% off the whole Ping range at one point, could have got the G25 driver for £190 if they had the shaft I needed left
