So I'm out playing on saturday, come in and switch on the BBC news just after 5pm, on comes the sports section and not a word about the SC. Plenty about other sports, but not a jot.

This morning, the BBC sport headlines is about Mark Cavendish.

All well and good....but if the BBC were covering the SC.

Absolute disgrace.

Sky had the sc, agreed though, it's 1st win in 8 yrs and it was quite exciting with the anks showing how good they are in singles (as usual).

Might have been a different story if that injury game had gone ahead.

Isn't it more to do with the number of people likely to be interested in it? They only have a short sports bulletin and with all the Footy and Rugby to get in, it doesn't leave much space for the lesser sports. It's wrong but I can see why they didn't cover it.

What....a saturday, the main BBC news thats on for 24 hours, the main sports day of the week and they dont mention a thing about the SC.

Maybe they didn't have access to the highlights at that time. Wouldn't have been a good report without some footage.

Either way, I agree with you.

I watched the SC till the end of play and then the coverage switched to the Fed Ex.
Ewan murray informed us viewers that "if you hit the red button, you can watch the closing ceremony and highlights of the singles which were very exciting apparently"

he didnt even say "Well done Europe"

And I thought Smiffy was a Knob

he didnt even say "Well done Europe"

 he should be fired! Someone on tv telling you where to see certain aspects of golf and he didn't do an open congratulations! Whats happening to standards :shakesheadsmiley:

I'm sure there are plenty of people I would have to Google in the world of sport but that would say more about me than them or their sport.

My 1st post and it looks like I'm being a troll but I'm not. I love golf and I'm also a keen cyclist. I had a great day yesterday with two fantastic events to watch (and thanks to a weekend of free Sky I did just that) but if I was pushed I would have to say that Mark Cavendish becoming the first Brit to be Mens road race WC for nearly 50 years was the bigger news.

Anyway, hello.

Welcome....maybe it is bigger news....but not to mention the SC.

I agree it's not right to ignore the SC. Perhaps there should be two sports bulletins, one for real sport and the other during the business section for PL football and the Fedex Cup (I know the last one is a little controversial but $10m, really!).
