I played here in the summer and loved the place. Really fancy another go at it, could anyone tell me how it holds up to wet winter weather please.

Very well as far as I remember, though that was a couple of years ago.

I actually consider it a much better course for any of the 3 seasons other than Summer. The roll/bounce on un-watered, sloping fairways in Summer rather spoils it for me. Though a frozen fairway on 8 once turned a 'perfect drive' into something else!

Greens are generally top-notch at any time of year!

Have played it at the very beginning of the season (to take advantage of their reduced rates) and found it very boggy in places.
But as Foxholer points out, it's not a great place in the Summer with all the unfair bounces anyway!

I am hoping to get a round in over the Xmas/New Year break to take advantage of their winter package offer - £50 for unlimited golf and full English breakfast

Played it around 4 weeks ago. Was in decent nick but was very disappointed and surprised to find 3 holes on temps, especially as the week before had not been that wet. Worth checking before you play, but imo worth the trip for the 'middle holes' up on top of the hill and into the valley's, some real crackers.

A little surprised to here it described as 'very boggy', though there are couple of likely spots on the later holes that might be candidates. Maybe you visited some different parts of the course to me!

I didn't actually state 'unfair' as I don't believe there's such a thing in Golf, merely 'unfortunate' that has to be dealt with! But I know what you meant - having to hit the ball into the right rough in order to avoid it rolling into the trees left would certainly be heading towards 'unfair'!

That deal looks pretty attractive!

I played it a coupe of years ago on the winter deal. Everywhere else was shut because of snow. It was in pretty good nick considering. I liked it. Really quirky and the par 3 's are a chuckle 😄

Smiffy arranged a couple of meets there a few years back - 1st year the 2nd should have been closed as that was a bog down by the green.
5 rubbish holes before you get to some really interesting stuff - decent from then on in apart from the stupid par 5 down the hill.
