My Dad brought a putter round my house last night with a 2 thumb grip. Odessey No 7.

I couldn't get on with the grip, whether held conventionally, or using the 2 thumb idea. It didn't seem to help, made the putter unbalanced, and looked terrible (not that I find the number 7 good looking in the first place).

What is wrong with your putting that one of these might cure? As to me, it is a sign of things not going well.

I found that it made my putter unbalanced (same putter, in shop with this grip), it also made me have a wristy stroke - something I never had before using the grip.

I tried it out the birmingham golf show. It felt so alien, but I guess you could say that about any grip or swing change.

I'd advise chatting to a local pro to see if they have one you can try, or poping down to the golf show at excel in London (not sure of the date) they are bound to be there.

Went to AG to get one fitted yesterday because I was using to much wrist in my stroke, they were out of stock so the bloke gave me a free putting lesson and got me to putt cack handed. Played today and putted bloody well shame the rest of my game was not up to scratch.

Tried one they had as a demo, it does take the wrist out of the swing but it would have taken me ages to get use to.

Not for me. I tried one on a putter in my pros shop and apart from feeling totally alien the putter felt out of kilter. It was probably down to me but even if I had less confidence than Garcia with a 3 foot downhill putt on bermuda grass with the grain, downhill and downwind I'd still feel more comfy with a conventional grip.

Actually,if you can put your immediate reaction behind you, it is a good aid. Jimenez used one for a while on tour and once he felt he'd cured his wrist-break problem, he went back to a regular grip - and promptly won the B&H or whatever it was.

Not for permanent use, but if you feel misaligned in the shoulders or with dodgy wrists, put one on another putter (everyone owns 28 of them don't they?) and use it as practice. No harm in trying...
