Attached an overhead of the first tee shot at my course.........

Only played off the yellows so far:

Bunkers down the left not really in play....... typically even my bad drives will carry these....

THAT ONE BUNKER DOWN THE RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Apparently according to gps its ~240 yards carry from the yellow tee......

Drive #1....... Aimed just inside the overhanging tree expecting it to turn back left slightly....... straight as an arrow ..... pitched 1 yard from the edge of the bunker....... plugged.

Drive #2.... Aim right down the middle of the fairway............ leaks right very slowly...... pitched 1 yard from the edge of the bunker........ plugged.

Drive #3.... aimed down the left rough....... leaks right more....... pitched 1 yard from edge of bunker...... plugged.

This is a par 5 and im a drive and a 5 iron into the green from the yellows....... each time im just wasting a shot chunking it out 3 yards ................

Its becoming a running joke with my playing partner now lol...... its sooooooooo uncanny how everytime I end up just seeing a splash of sand from the exact same spot.......

Have made an 8,7 and 5, from this bunker on the 3 occasions......

Anyone else have a nemesis feature ? :D

Seems to go through phases for me , currently its our Par 3 14th . its beating me up at the mo ..

Just a thought, have you tried 4 iron ,then 5iron , wedge .. 2 putts for a safe par or if you wedge it close a birdie putt

I only carry a 2 Hybrid and I think thatd bring the ones in the left into play....... ! Plus its hard to not take driver off the first on an uphill par 5 lol with the big bay window 10 feet behind the tee! :D ..........

Take the hybrid twice to just short of or on the green. Job done!
Doesn't matter what they think if you come in with a birdie or an eagle they won't be laughing for long!

Nemesis feature is our 9th green for some reason can't get an image up of it, but its more more slopes, lumps and bumps than a playboy magazine and is about 30 yards wide and deep with an elevation of about 5 foot running through the middle.

Just take the bunker out of play by taking something that can't get there. Even if you make bogey by not being able to get home in regulation it has to be better than what you are doing at the moment
