Yes, I've gone and booked a fitting with Callaway at Chessington on the 10th February primarily with a thought of moving to the new XR irons.

I'm very happy with my X2Hot irons but if the new ones and a proper custom fit help me score better I'm up for that!

Good man, you can't take it with you. I've lost track but do the XRs replace the X2Hots? If so I would be genuinely interested if you see any noticeable difference.

Chris

Not sure if your 2015's RickG or Gibbo, your changing clubs quicker than a politicians excuse.

Do like the look of the XR Irons, be interesting to read your feedback when you get back from your fitting. They use a similar face cup technology to the Big Bertha's don't they?

Apparently the technology is the same, they do look prettier than the X2's and on the phone they said they are even more forgiving which I find hard to believe as the X2's are very very forgiving!

They certainly "read" well Chris.
But having played with you recently, and witnessed your ball striking with your current clubs, I'd be surprised if you could hit these new ones any better mate.
I'd be chuffed to bits if you prove me wrong, but also deeply saddened if you lose a couple of strokes off of your current shonky handicap
;)

It's only that they look really nice and I'm not looking at extra distance but if they give a better dispersion rate they'll be a good switch, but main reason is that I have someone who is fairly keen on my X2's and their sale would fund a large part of the purchase. Also it's great to do a full, proper custom fit at no cost

Shouldn't you be buying pings?

You're only as old as the woman you feel!
