Went down at 8am for a game with 3 mates and teed off with no wind,it was cold and hard underfoot but we were back onto the summer greens,no temps, excellent stuff.........standing on the 5th green we got a wee flight of snow and by the time we left the 6th green it was lying, putting at the 7th green it was leaving a line and by the time we tried to putt at the 8th my ball had a bigger beard than old Uncle Albert on Only Fools and Horses!!Time to pick up and head in.Didn't bother with a bacon roll or coffee as the road was looking pretty bad and I reckon a good 2 inches has fallen in 1.5 hrs!!Was hoping to get a game tomorrow as I am away for the weekend but I don't think that will be an option as it is still hoying it down! :(

Was hoping to play this weekend, but I seem to be going down with flu. Course is probably closed anyway. Or on temps, so I won't miss much.

I'm hoping to get a round in on saturday. The course has been closed but re-opened today. We have some light snow forecast tonight in north london but then followed by rain so we should be ok.

Fingers crossed.

I cant see my course opening for the next 3 weeks!! In december with a couple of inches it was closed for 11 days with then enforced trolley ban, not sure if its going to clear unless we get some real heavy rain asap.

UPDATE: Just called the pro shop and deffo closed until least Monday, looks like the wife will have me going the house work this weekend :( oo lord.

Depending on the forecast (BBC and Metcheck) it's either been snowing all day or it won't snow 'til 9 tonight. Both wrong.

It started at about 4.15, now stopped but has layed.

I've a tee time booked for 1.30 tomorrow but unless we get a Meltemi that's me stuffed.

My only hope now is that they managed to recover the buried balls off the range.

Went to the range in a blizzard eatlier andits settling. I'm doubtful Ascot will be open as it was pretty wet before all the snow and had the back 9 closed. If it does open I reckon its only the front 9 and on temps. If we get a break and it warms up I might go over to Wexham Park in Slough and use their short game area for the morning.
