Had grandson this afternoon, had promised him we would make a chocolate cake. So off we went. Aldi cake mix in 10 mins and bowl licked clean by said grandson in 2 mins.
Then for the piece de resistance. Dig out a hole in the middle of cake, stick a 6" choccie bunny on it. Melt some green and blacks chocolate to cement it in and boom.

However. For those that don't know the middle of a cake is hotter than the outside. Quite a lot hotter. Said bunny was sat there, melted chocolate was poured on and said bloody rabbit melted down so only the top of its ears are showing. It looks like a flipping crocodile lurking in a muddy pond. if I had not put the cake outside in 0 degrees there would of been no ears showing. Sometimes baking cakes is rubbish.

Don't worry about the presentation - it's a chocolate cake - all that matters is how is tastes! And if it comes with a bunny or crocodile too then that's just a bonus :)

Not to worry. I'm sure your grandson had a day to remember and will never forget it!

Are you taking him swimming once he's ate all the cake?

Definitely think little tashyboy should have his own section on the forum so we can get regular updates of his 'adventures', if not a series on you tube:D

Well it has stopped melting.
taught him londons burning song yesterday. Wish I hadn't, he's been singing it on and off all last night and this morning. I can't get the flippin tune outta my head.
