Well Fragger, me and CVG went out today. And mostly wished we hadn't!

CVG blobbed the first two holes, I blobbed 4 and Fragger blobbed - well let's say a few!!
Nothing was really going well for any of us, Drives were poor, approaches short/long/left/right, chips long/short etc etc You get the picture?

There were however a couple of highlights. Firstly, on the second hole, Fragger, who is left of the green from the tee (par3) pulls from his bag - A CHIPPER!!!!! He's got a bloody chipper in there - oh the shame....

Real highlight for me was a couple of birdies but there wasn't much else to shout about - one of them was a chip-in for 4 points though.

On our 13th, Fragger hit a ball into the rough. On finding it, he then plays up to the green. Whoops - wrong ball. BAck we go and look for it in 2 inch high rough! Can't lose a ball in there can you? It was found. Down a crack in the ground, nearly a foot down! The image of Fragger, on hands and knees, with his arm down this hole, looking like James Herriot in Arm/Cow mode is permanently etched in my memory.

Finally, on the last, Fragger is in the rough, just back from a tree. A full blooded 5 iron smacks into the trunk and vanishes. I didn't see it - as soon as I heard the smack on the tree I ducked! We eventually found it 50 yards away on an adjacent fairway.

Ah Happy Days.......

Score - Me 31, CVG - 24, Fragger - not many....!

You get days like that though when it just won't click and so 31 isn't a bad return. I felt the same in the medal on Sunday. Having played great the day before the tempo and striking wasn't there and everything seemed to be a scramblem either from the rough off the tee or around the green

Thats just pure genius... PMSL big time... :D :D :D

Maybe he thought it was a last resort to try and win some form back....???

must have been the day for it. had a pretty poor day myself.. topped nearly everything off the tee and had to scramble for every score. the only highlights were a 5 iron from 190 which hit the flag and dropped stone dead, and a pitch from 90 which won me a pint of the black stuff.. every other shot was poor.. still, im sure it'll all be better tomorrow eh..
