Hurrah,
Currently enjoying the sub tropical feeling 13 degrees C up here today. What a difference from a week ago -12 and a foot of snow.
Been to the golf club to collect my fixture card today, dates now in diary, snow disappearing quicker than a really quick thing which gladdened the heart seeing a partly green golf course instead of totally white one for the first time in what feels like months.
First medal April 5th - at last something to aim for! Golf enthusiasm totally renewed again.
Long may this warm front continue.

Time to check the spikes, oil the wedges and get down to the practice ground to tune up some very rusty golf muscles.

n.b. this forum is going at a snails pace currently, somebody liven things up please, even a good ding dong argument would be good! :(

I was thinking the same, re post count. It is almost like now the sun is out, and people can play, they don't need to get their fix from the forum. Booo. Some of us are still at work, and need entertaining.

Caught a look at our 16th green at the weekend. It is in a bowl, and there was still 4" of ice and snow over it, but you could see through some of the ice at a very black green. It hasn't helped where 100s of kids have toboganned over it either. Don't think we will be on it for months now. Looks like a lot of non qualifiers for a while, while the green keeper puts in some tlc.

The rest of the course was in surprisingly good knick.

Maybe a debate about slow play or GPS could get a few people fired up! Its not like anyone on here to talk passionatly about those subjects.

Amen to what you said about the weather gods, 13 degrees here today and nice weather yesterday. I'm hoping it continues tomorrow when I have another round planned. :D
