As one of the 3000 or so people who entered the recent " Post A Review" competition on the GM website I was pleasantly surprised to get an email from MikeH on Monday 5th. It said I had been fortunate enough to win the 2nd prize. A set of Nike Vr Wedges. MikeH went on to explain that my details would be sent to NIke and that it might be nearer the end of the month before I got my prize.

Well I got home tonight and whilst helping make the dinner, those accusatory words we all fear " What have you been buying now !" echoed round the livingroom. Turned out my wife had just opened the door to a delivery of said clubs.

The clubs certainly look very good indeed, I am certainly looking forward to trying them out in the near future. They might even manage a wee cross border raid next month !

Once again, thanks very much Golf Monthly and MikeH.

That would have been an interesting dilema ! I'm happy with my current set and it would have caused a bit of a headache if I'd had to decide what to do in that case. Gut feeling is I'd have liked the forged cavity backs.

Well done Dave, pleased for you mate. Hope you enjoy using them.
Must be a nice feeling wining something as good as you have.

Cue maudling violin music:

Me............Well, I've never won a thing in my whole life. Sure, I've entered competitions, in magazines, on this site.....sigh, but alas, won nothing. Guess I'll just have to keep on trying, you never know, I may get lucky one day!

Green with envy!!!

Well done though, and to everyone else who kept me entertained with the great reviews through the month of December, and may they continue in the new review forum throughout 2009!
