Texas Scramble - Calcutta Rules?

Well and truly confused as I've not heard of this format before. Here is what I'm lead to believe is the format ........

Its a Calcutta scramble....1st 6 holes the best 3 scores count..middle 6 holes the best 2 scores count and the last 6 holes the best 1 score..

Is this right?

entirely up to the organisers - who can dictate the handicapping, whether balls are dropped or placed etc etc etc and etc

In a Texas Scramble there is only one score on every hole.

We have this at my place but it's not called a Texas Scramble.

We have it named the Bermuda Triangle.

We always play Texas scramble as one score, each player has to contribute 4 tee shots, I think we use 1/10th combined handicap. Great format, always look forward to playing it.
