Found it quite funny to see the great Carlos Tevez lugging Andrea Romeros bag around Lytham, bag looked bigger than him!
Wonder what Mancini would think about this, might do a shoulder or tweak his back.
To boot Romero shot 82, clearly didn't care and was doing his pal a favour but was it a bit unprofessional on both their parts and does it set a precedent of celeb caddies in a serious event?:mmm:

As long as Tevez has a day off and isn't skiving then don't think he did anything wrong. If carrying the bag was that stressful on the body you wouldn't see guys who are 50+ doing it every 4 days out of 7.

As for Romero, yeah i'd agree it suggets he isn't taking it that seriously. But golf is an individual sport so he is only letting himself down and costing himself $$$$!!

Being female has little to do with it, Mrs Calc is used to it and if she did do herself a mischief there isn't much consequence. Tevez has no training and was clearing straining under the load!
Is it not along the same lines as Casey going snowboarding and injuring himself? Tevez could easily slip on a steepslope and fall headfirst into a bunker and not be able to extricate himself.

Romero is out of the running and he knew it, hence why Tevez got the chance to lug the bag.

For old caddies, check out Jim Furyks bag lugger. We saw him at the Open the other day and he looked absolutely knackered. Mr Furyk obviously values his input!!!

He might do his should shoulder of tweak his back???

Are you feeling ok?

He's a man in his 20's who happens to be carrying some golf clubs.

I'm 26, so I best get one of those golf trolleys asap before I injure myself!

Don't really see a prob with this. I don't think this will set a precedent

Well, once upon a time this sort of thing was rife at events like the Ryder Cup. Fortunately it's more professional now and the players use their full time caddies just like any normal week.

they are very good friends and spend a lot of time in each others company,he was well out of the comp and probably thought a nice walk round with a mate on a sunday would be a nice change.

So much so that Tevez and his friends walked the whole course watching Romero on Saturday mingling with the crowds.
