Yesterday i went to a well known golf shop and tested several 3 woods all in regular

John Letters TR47 Fairway Woods
Nike Golf VRS Covert Fairway Wood
TaylorMade RocketBallz Stage 2 RBZ Fairway Wood

John Letters TR47 Fairway Woods - I liked the blue shaft but it was extremely bendy it was more like a ladies flex club.
I found it difficult to hit the sweet spot even though it had quite a large head.
Had heard some good things from these clubs so was disappointed

Nike Golf VRS Covert Fairway Wood - Looked amazing loved the red head but couldn't hit this club at all, I dont know the reason for it i felt really confident when testing it. I couldn't really see anything wrong with it that was obvious to me for why i couldn't hit this club well
Big ish Head, Good shaft, Not too long

TaylorMade RocketBallz Stage 2 RBZ Fairway Wood - When i tested this i wasn't trying any harder to hit it better then the other clubs, but i really hit this well, Easy off the tee and ground, Long too, Makes a good noise,
Good high flight even with a 3 wood,

I rarely buy new clubs so for me to buy it then and there was very rare, Manged to knock him down for a new TaylorMade RocketBallz Stage 2 RBZ Fairway Wood to £116, Good price?

Anyway just a quick (very quick) review of these few 3 woods

A 3 wood is most likely my next purchase, I'm interested in both the TM RBZ stage 2 and the nike covert. So will be trying them out.
Heard very good things about the stage 2

Nice review.

Did you try the clubs in the above order Spawn?

If you did, it would be interesting to see if you but the Nike last instead of the TM if you hit itany better with being a little more 'loose' from previous swings?

I hit the TM first of all, with no practice swings i found it instantly a good and easy club to launch high and far.
Each of the 3 clubs tested are good clubs but the TM for me was so so so much easier to get the desired outcome

Good price that! I have stage 2 hybrids and they are tremendous clubs IMO. Enjoy the new shiney but haven't you forgotten something?

Where's the pic!

The RBZ fairway woods and hybrids are brilliant clubs.
I tried them when I got my Titleists, the ball went a mile and were easy to hit.
The only reason I didn't get them was that I only went for the fitting because I had some big gaps in my original set up, so wanted a strong 5 wood and long iron equivalent hybrid. The Titleists fill the gap perfectly, but the RBZs both went too far.
I think that if I was to get an entirely new set of clubs the RBZ woods & hybrids would be seriously considered, but I'm very happy with what I have at present.
