Tescos

See what happens when you threaten to increase your prices in Scotland:lol:

Nice bit of Karma

Aye - nice to know that they had their fingers close to their own financial pulse whilst worrying Scots about the price of a pint of milk.

I wonder how much has been wiped off pension funds by this - a mess that has come to pass whilst the company was being run by (no doubt self-professed) financial experts on the board - a good bunch of whom are now on gardening leave and probably making sure that their personal £millions are safely stashed away.

A question, if you please.

Is Scotland the only part of these fair isles to add an 's' onto the end of our supermarket chains? NO ONE shops in either Asda or Tesco, EVERYONE shops in asdas or tescos

Neither- Waitrose, M&S and JL if you don't mind:smirk:

Definitely 'Asda' and/or 'Lidl' around here. There's normally an 's' added to Tesco, but 'possessive' like Sainsbury's rather than plural. Morrisons have the 's', but no apostrophe.

Call most of the supermarkets with the added "S" at the end bar Waitrose

We use Sainsburys - best of the bunch in regards quality for the money you pay.

Plus the best sugar doughnuts :D

Have to say Mrs H has been using Waitrose lately and they seem reasonably priced these days (there was a time when they were expensive for food, bit like M&S) and the quality seems better than Sainbury's and Tesco's or evens the local Asda(s) (see another that can have the S)
