Heading there soon and doesnt look like loads to do, but wondering if there are any pointers for days out etc.

I'll be golfing 1-2 mornings but will be heading out with the missus and pooch for walks, especially along the pembrokeshire coast, but just wondering if anything else to do in the area or even up to 1 - 1 1/2 hours away.

Scenic walks, castles, stately homes etc and also a nice restaurant around Tenby.

Plenty of good eating places in Tenby and in nearby Saundersfoot... Salt Cellar in Tenby and Coast near to Saundersfoot being the best and probably hardest on the pocket... Great part of the country to visit... Island of Caldey worth a visit if staying near Tenby...

St Davids is lovely and there are also some scenic walks on the Gower peninsula, reckon both should be within your 1.5 hours radius.

Which courses are you playing mate?

Book marked that and the Brecon beacon mountail railway, as we can take the pooch on also, and there are also walks around there.

When I played Celtic manor last year a fella I played with said about a walk around there which takes in a few waterfalls, any idea on that one?

Playing Tenby and Royal Porthcawl, and 6 x 9-hole rounds at our complex (it has a 9 hole course, swimming pool and spa) and the missus picked it as well. Result.:D

Check this site Peter, it might be listed in here

Good choice of courses, Porthcawl is fab but not played Tenby yet. Heard it is tough as old boots though. If you enjoy Porthcawl you might want to come back and join us for the winter open in Feb ;) Enjoy!

I did see that, but knew I was going this month.

Holidays are my problem - only 25 a year, and use up 15-18 with the missus.

Been a while since I played Tenby as friends we visit nearby aren't golfers and it would be rude to slope off just to golf...

Don't recollect it as being particularly difficult... Probably is, when it blows like all links courses... Remember there being a couple of 'quirky' holes... Also, not to visit the dunes, to find a lost balls, due to it being adder country... Though assuming they hibernate should be OK at this time of year...
