Tenby golf Open week

Just wondered if anyone had played down in South Wales at the Tenby Open Week, a couple of friends have been down a few times and say it is a real test of golf.

I am considering joining them this year but wonder if it could do my game more harm than good?

Bit biased as it's my home course! It's a fantastic week with entertainment every night. The course is a typical links course always a test but it's in great condition fantastic views. Great town with lots of places to stay, if your bringing family they will have a great time as there is loads to do.

The open week committees are and always do put loads of effort to make it a great week, hope to see you down here.

Ps. The only thing it will make your game do is want to move to west wales to play it every week lol

We could well be down for the Monday to Wednesday, so you might well see you there.

Seen pictures of the course and I must admit it looks amazing but a real test and I am not sure my short game (In current state) will stand up.

I've not played the course but can really recoment Tenby, it's a great place, I always try to get over there twice a year,great little town,good pubs and places to eat and a beautifull place

Excuse my ignorance, what does Tenby golf week involve?

I went to Tenby every summer on holiday as a kid and have extremely fond memories of the place - lovely little town.

from the website its six games of golf starting on a Sunday through to Friday, a mixture of BB and singles, also noticed enter all six for just £110

As throttle has said its a week given over to visitors and members alike. The club puts a big effort in to prizes/course/entertainment etc we get a lot of players coming back every year. I am very biased but it's a fantastic course and to play all week for £110 is an absolute bargain. The course is really looking good and we have taken a real battering over the winter on the coast.
