Looking at tomorrow's forecast, (not good), tomorrow could be the first time we play on temps this year. Our temps are small bits mowed in the fairway, about 15ft in diameter with a double bucket. Not good.

To lessen the pain, I played today (18 holes in 2 hours, would have been quicker but the speed of my trolley is now the limiting factor, don't want to hang around in this weather), and entered all the temp positions into my skycaddie. Hopefully tomorrow, if we are on temps, at least I will know the yardage.

Still won't be able to putt though.

Im going out tomorrow to see if the club has gone to temp greens, I hate them, I often just hit without really looking when putting as I dont want anything affecting my normal putting as its pretty good.Good idea taking notice of yardage this weather.

Quite often if it's temps I don't carry a putter at all, so as not wreck my putting stroke (I like to roll the ball at the hole, not whack it). I often putt with a 4i on temps, the loft gets it rolling better with an easy stroke.

though we don't have any temps at the moment, there is a notice that if you are within a (normal) putters length of the hole it's a pick up anyway. (you only need putt out if the hole is oversize).

we're more likely to get temp tees though.

We don't do temp tees, we have winter tees, which are further forward, but the SI changes for the winter course, there are no par 5's, but we always play off grass.

Looking out the back window this morning, there's a dusting of snow over the Pentland hills.

Might have to dig out the thermals if I'm to play a few holes today.

Probably on Temps today as there was rain, sleet and then some frost overnight.

Now, where's me wooly hat.

Played this morning (sunday) 9 holes and greenstaff had all 18 temps in operation. Just little bit of cut fairway :)
