You may remember a couple of month ago, I asked if it would be legal ( in a competition ) to look at a video of Ernie Els a couple of times on your phone before you hit your shot ?

Well I tried it this afternoon to help me get the right tempo, it wasn't Ernie, but used this vid on my BlackBerry

Grant Waite ( whoever he is ? ) Video Number 7...bottom of the page.

You know what?? ..............it worked

Not hit the ball as sweet for a long time. :)

Of course I only used it whilst practicing on my own.

Re: Temp and your mobile phone....

I have been working on this for some time. I use a CD of music set to different swing speeds from www.tourtempo.com

I just stick the I-pod on and take away on the first note, start the downswing on the second and hit on the third. Not as easy as it sounds as I found out even on the slowest setting. The idea being that every tour player has a 3:1 swing speed where the down swing is three times faster than the backswing therefore giving more time on the way back and then more speed through impact.

And do you think it helps????
I'm very intersted in this, i would say my biggest fault is losing my tempo especially in the transition at the top of the backswing......my pro's alway b*****king me for it!!!!!

Re: Temp and your mobile phone....

It is an acquired taste and something you need to dedicate a lot of time on. My pro has me working on the 27/9 timing which is the slowest. My swing was way to quick for any of the beats but I think I've worked it down and will eventually be hitting off 24/8

If you are interested I might be able to get a copy of the CD and burn it for you
