Tee's !!!!!!!!

Played a round with a chap last week and we both had iron headcovers as well as putter and wood covers... absolute bliss, managed to hear each other talking, we could even hear the dodo's fart (although that did annoy me on the backswing on one hole, needless to say that one wont cost me a ball in future)

Top Tip: Iron headcovers are washable and prevent the innards of a dodo clogging up your grooves :)

Top Tip 2: in a strange twist of good fortune we discovered that Dodo claws make a viable alternative to pink castle tee's !
(It really is the bird that keeps on giving)

I never knew that castle tees were looked down on. I have orange for driver, blue for 3 wood, red for hybrid and green for iron. I thought it made sense to have same height automatically set all the time. I did notice that one or two of the really good guys that I play with would rather hunt for an old broken bit of wooden tee left lying around and use that instead, but as from tonight i am going to do the same.

Castle tees are fantastic. I have used progressively taller ones through the decades as driver technology has changed. Blue in the late 70's and early 80's, yellow in the 90's and now white.

People who frown upon them are invariably those that still point at planes in the sky.

In the 1960's a company produced flourescent yellow/lime/pink cone shaped plastic tees.
They were fantastic, impossible to break or lose. For a while everyone was using them.

They were soooo good that all the pro's stopped stocking them. [In the days when you could only buy golf stuff from a Pro]

That's where you are wrong. In fact I can't think of a time that anyone was as wrong as you are with that statement.

It absolutely has to be a red wooden tee every time. No other colour works as well. I always hit the ball further and straighter with the red wooden ones than any other tee. My OCD about this is so bad that if I can't get a pack of wooden tees that are all red I will buy a mixed pack and give all the other colours away to my playing partners.

I offer a repair and respray service for wooden tee's, 6 different shades of red (none pink) - £6 per tee or £65.00 a dozen + postage. Let me know if you need this service, I am however fully booked for the next 3 months.

Theres a tee repair service near me plus they colour code all tees, theres a 'bin' full of red tees, you'd love it.

They put any castle tees they get into the fire.
