Hunter contending in a major again, did well in the US Open until he took a turn for the worse. I think its Westwood or Scott for the win. Would love Tiger to do it but I can just see him in my head right up against a bunker face with no shot or something similar.
Keep an eye on Snedeker, only player to break 70 twice with a single poor round! I don't think +3 is out of the question to get into the mix or a potential play-off around par or at most -1.
I don't think anyone will pull away, holes 16 & 17 will be critical for different reasons. Ones got bogey/s written all over it and the other is a must par at least.
Set up for a great final day, far better than -20 style scores IMO.
I don't think Tiger did anything yesterday to inspire or "bring on" Lee. Lee looked relaxed and in his own zone enjoying his round and had his own agenda whereas Tiger looked far more intense and took some risks IMO.
Mahan has it in his locker and I expected far more from him in the US Open so if he gets off to a good start, that could, by your synopsis work for Lee, but then it might not, who knows!
I think there will be a few twists & turns with a silly hole here and there, Lee got away with a 4 on the 16th yesterday when it had 5 written all over it, no more of that please...
Really hoping that Westie can do it, but f he can't then please god let Scott win, followed by Day and Wagner. I've got £2k riding on that little 3'some placing.......
