Team mates looking for ball

Is there a rule or decision that covers this?

On 18 today in team 4somes match, we had finished so went back to cheer other lands on. Our boys carved one into the clag so we went and help look. It was my partner who found it for them.

The other teams guy starts spouting that we should not have helped to look.

Anyone got the rule or decision that covers this??

Nonsense. So if at any large tournament the gallery are not allowed to look for a player's ball? I don't think so.

Can't believe there is a rule that limits the numbers looking for the ball, that mean another group playing another hole can't point out your ball?

Yeah, I know he's talking pony just wondered whether there was a rule or decision on it - sour grapes, we gave them a pumping on their own turf

No such Rule. If the Rules don't say you can't do something, then you can.

It's difficult to prove a negative (that there isn't a rule), so the best plan with that kind of assertion is to ask those making it to point to the Rule that prohibits the action.

unbelievable, I'm assuming he was also a low h/capper. Where on earth (probably middle Earth) do these people get their rules from
