Just seen this on the BBC website http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-17457729

Apparently Stella McCartney has designed these, inspired by the Union flag. Personally I think they look pretty naff, especially as the Union flag has a liberal dose of red in it! Why it couldn't have just been left to the Adidas design team I don't know - they seem to get it pretty much spot on when it comes to their other sporting apparel!

Have to admit I like them, its good to have a change from the normal with white and blue panels. I like the fact they have used the Union Jack in the designs. Apparently the reason for the design was to stop us being confused with the French as they usually have a similar colour and design to ourselves so this should separate us and make us stand out a bit.
 
Prefer more white in the UK outfit, looks like USA to me with all the navy blue.

Philips Odowu reminded me of Garth from Waynes World doing the 'we wont sell out' Reebok thing, he is way too Adidas emblazoned for my liking. I can see 7 Adidas motifs just on his front!

Olympics - If there's a one hour highlights show each evening that'll be enough for me.

I thought that he had the X-factor logo on his stomach. Looked like Simon Cowell had become the main sponsor.
 
Dread to think how much money was paid to Stella McCartney to come up with that design. Hope it wasn't funded by us tax payers either! I am all for contemporary designs, but at least have the right colours in it!!

But then who am I to comment - every clothes shop I walk in now I take one look and think "this stuff all needs a good wash and iron"...
 
I don't like it either, but then I don't like the London Olypic logo either. Every time I look at it I think of Lisa Simpson kneeling down and doing the "Business"
 
Its not colourful enough in my Opinion, as the host nation we should be standing out not blending in.

You should be able to spot a UK athlete in a large crowd or have the opposition REALLY noticing you as you stand out with a bright fresh contemporary design.

some of the shirts look like the kind of old faded top you would wear to the gym thats been washed a zillion times.

They are missing a trick here I feel
 
it should have had the cross of st george emblazoned across the front with a little bit of blue on the colour and a union flag on the arse.
