TaylorMade Tour Preferred CB Irons

Having taken the plunge and bought these, I'm loving them, they feel so solid of the face and for for a TP iron very forgiving, love them :D:D:D:D:D

Nice

Do you mind me asking what you play off and how your ball striking is usually? I'm looking at these irons for my return to golf next year (I really REALLY don't like the I20's I've got now)..

Cheers

I play off 24, was a little unsure whether they would be too much of a players iron for me, especially as the pro I bought them from plays them, so had a couple of fittings at different centres and in both cases I was hitting them as good as some of the other more chunky irons I tried, that I did not like to the look of at address. The pro who I bought them from lent me his 7i, and 8i and even changed the shaft for to the flex that worked best for me, so I could try them on the course for a couple of weeks and they soon became my go-to clubs.

Hope this helps, will be long time before they come out of my bag

Cheers big fella. Do you still have the 825's?

Still got the original Tour Preferred (08) irons in the spare room and they were a lovely club. I really wanted to stick with TM and their TP range when I was looking for new clubs but the G25's were better for me in the two fittings I went to even if ultimately I didn't get on with their looks in the short irons. Much happier now with my I25's but would always look at the current TM TP range if I ever change again as they are a quality model

Was speaking to a chap who just bought these and shot 39 points yesterday in first comp with them - he plays off 6. Said he loved the feel.

My PP has just plumed for a set of these after being fitted by a TM fitter up at Turnberry.

I must admit i was surprised when he told me that these had by far the best numbers of all clubs tried (TM Range only), as he plays of 25.

Shows they must be pretty forgiving

(unless he goes to pot when they arrive in Oct..............)
