Thinking about buying one of these 2nd hand as they really suit my eye.

Thinking of the 3 wood HL, anyone got or used one of these that could give an opinion?

I had one and hated it.....but whose to say it wont be perfect for your swing. Personally I take very little comfort in someone else telling me a club is great, I want to know if it's great in my hands or not and the only way of knowing is to give the thing a good smash

+1 to the previous comment.

I had an SLDR driver, 3 wood and 2 Hybrid and didn't get on with any of them, horrible high slice with them all. But that could just be me.

That reminds me, i really ought to sell the Driver and Hybrid on Ebay

+2

When i went for my tm fitting at Wentworth the tm guy looked in my bag and said my rbz 3 wood with a whiteboard shaft is a hard 3 wood to beat.

i have a 15 degree 3 wood. I get on fine with it, its pretty much like most other 3 woods. Put a good swing on it it works, put a bad swing on it and it doesnt. Probably not the most forgiving out there though

Bought one on Friday evening off a pal.

Spent £40 on the 3HL Model but have it set to 'lower degree'.
It also has the Fujikura Speeder 747 TP shaft in it which is a belter of a shaft.

Took it out in the comp on Saturday but tried not to hit it too much until i've had a good go with it. Decided to pull it out on the 10th as it's a short dog leg, caught it slightly off the toe but still went a good 230 ish which i was chuffed with.

Didn't need it again until the 17th which is a par 5 for my 2nd shot, absolutely hit it sweet as a nut and just seemed to fly for so long! Knocked it 5 yards short of the green, about a 230 shot again in to wind with no roll out so was very chuffed!

Need to see what my consistency is going to be like with it but enjoying it this far!

not a fairwar wood but Ive got a 3 hybrid with the TP shaft and its a great club. Just got to remember to hit it like an iron and not a wood or I pull it quite badly.

I've had this problem recently when I bought my hybrid, not used one for so long just had no idea how to hit it!

Sold it on now as decided it just wasn't for me but considering buying a different one!
