Are these the top premium balls from taylormade? How do they compare to pro v 1? Reason I ask is I've never took much notice of taylormade balls but found one of these today and thought it was pretty decent and would consider a change.

I found the original Penta was shorter than my other premium balls when they first came out and so I wasn't impressed. The latest incarnation is much better and compares well distance wise. The feel is still a little spongy for my liking but the father in law bought be a dozen for CHrimbo so feel compelled to use them

I trialed a sleeve a while back while deciding which premium ball to move to.

Good enough ball but I prefer the Pro V1. Find a ball that works for you across the board and stick with it.

Was/is my favourite ball.

TP is now 2 years old. TP5 was last year's replacement and close enough for me. Didn't like the TP3

Not found any Lethals yet, so untested.

Great price for those - and usable in all but elite comps.

Was going to ask that will they be proper premium balls even tho practice written on them. But sceptical about eBay

I'd b willing to bet that if you had all the top premium balls with no Logo & got forum members to hit them they'd not be ale to tell them apart.

not a fan myself.

I liked the TP Red/Black but Penta's are not a patch on those. if i find any i either give them to a mate who uses any old ball or stick them in the pracice bag.

Even with no logos I could pick it some of them .... Bridgestone have a specific dimple pattern and shape, Callaway use a Hex shape, a pro v1 will look yellow after a few hours ;)

Hi , The TMP are fast becoming a favorite with me, I have played Pro v1 for almost 5 year and distance wise i feel there's nowt in it!! Control around the green is 2nd to none( I play links so i have been practicing little knock down shots around the green and have been finding u can take or apply spin easy-ish) me and my boy go out every 2-3 weeks for a few hrs looking for balls, he now earns 50p a branny pro v and same for penta:D
oh and he's 7 before i get called a tight wad hahah
