So was in the pro shop yesterday and saw the M2 fairway. Chatting to my playing partner, discussing Jason Day's prodigious hitting with one. Pro overheard and said he had a demo if we wanted a go. Playing a friendly game only, so said sure.

Wow, that thing is a cannon. Wants to go straight and long. Hit some tee shots easily up to normal driver length and used it for a couple of approach shots on par 5s after not great tee shots which almost made the green. Looks pretty good too.

No TM fan boy here, quite the opposite in fact, but ordering one today. PP thinking the same.

I agree. I used to lay a 913FD and changed month ago to M2 .... remarkable. I was topping out at 229 yd carry, 250yds total, 2950 spin at range fitting. On course similar performance sometimes more...
Likewise I was possibly very anti T-M but the performance of the M2 has made me change mind & parted with (trade-in) £s. Both driver and 3W seem to impart much less spin and ball just hangs on out.....

I hit a couple of shots from lies in rough or rough ground where I wouldn't normally consider a 3 wood and they came out much much better than I would have settled for.

I bought an M2 3 wood today online from a reputable shop that had been played for 36 holes before being returned. Mmm perhaps not the best advert for a golf club I thought but its promised to be still very new with sticker and everything for £139 delivered so thought why not give it a go. My existing TM Burner 3W is excellent but its 10yrs old now.

Reading some more posts on here about M2 sounding funny when its hit? Will have to wait and see if that annoys me. My biggest concern though is the slot underneath filling up with crud  but its how well it goes is the most important thing.

Will have to wait until Tuesday to give it a try out though and will report back findings.

It was me who said about the noise. But that was up the range, I've since gone to the practice ground where it's not as noticeable. I've also gone from not keen on it to loving it again because I was down the practice grounds and not up range on the mat.
For mud in the slot I used a baby wipe and cotton buds, the joys of having a baby about the house haha

If it becomes a problem I'll buy some of this.:D

I took the M2 down the range this evening and I must say that even hitting off mats with crappy balls I did OK with it. The sound is different but its a good sound that didn't put me off the club in any way.

I agree that it looks pretty good as well although not sure how much the white part of the crown does actually help with alignment but will tell more when I take it out to the course with proper balls. So far so good and relieved that its at least no harder to hit than my old 2007 burner 3W and distance does seem pretty good too.

Top class service from Hot Golf btw.

I've just replaced my 910D2 with an M2, I was sold with the first ball I hit but the stats back it up. The problem is, it goes as far and as straight as my current driver - so I've replaced that too to maintain the distance gap

Had a swish today with one in AG, like it, but my bank manager does not. 3 wood is a key club for me now after finally ditching the driver for good.

Sorry, what goes as far and as straight as your current driver? M2 3 Wood?

I spent 3 days at the BMW PGA last week and a lot of pro's are using the M1/M2 driver.

That's right, the M2 3-Wood carries the same distance as my old 910D2 driver. Just to be clear however, that isn't a slight on the 910, more that it no longer fits my swing, which has changed considerably of the last year. I still hit the 910 driver straight but the trackman stats were showing an average carry of around 195yds on the day. The 3W was barely carrying 170 and had no flight at all (which is also what I have been experiencing on the course)

I now have a 16deg HL 3W which both on trackman and on the course has a carry and total distance the same as the 910D2. The M2 driver carries approximately 22yds on average further than the 910.

I used them on the course for the first time last weekend and the difference in terms of distance and flight is obvious.

I suspect any club with the correct shaft/head combination would produce similar results but TM have got the Gig this time around.

that's unbelievable stats, i'm currently still on the 910 D2, can't seem to part with it because it's always my 'go to' club.

Seriously may have to reconsider my options!!!

As I said, it is more to do with the 910 no longer suiting my swing than anything else. If your current driver is right for you then you probably won't see a big difference.

I wasn't intending to change my driver but once I saw the stats it was a no brainer.

I think mine is slightly overdue for a replacement now to be honest.

I had a few hits with my PP 915D2 the other day and saw immediate differences.

I really don't fancy the £280 outlay for a M2 though! Need to go see whats around and have a few hits with a few different clubs I think!

I wasn't planning on buying the driver as well as the 3W but Mrs Hawkeye surprised me and told me to buy both so I bought them quick before she changed her mind :D
