I've had the above club for approx 2 yrs..was playing last sunday in Club comp..when I hit a normal shot(off fairway) and the club snapped in 2!! I watched as the club head flew behind me..thus I didnt concentrat on where my golf ball went and had to play another.

Took my club to Direct golf, Moreton Wirral(where I bought it from) and its going to take 6-8 weeks for Taylor made to turn around and there will be a charge of 50/60pound charge..meanwhile they borrowed me a Burner 3W Speedfast till the other arrives..though this club feels extremely light..
Any1 with similar experience? whats the outcome?? :D :D

I had a Titleist 909 driver where the Grafalloy Prolaunch Red shaft snapped at the kick point when I tee'd off one day.

Everyone I was playing with found this f*@#ing hilarious bar me!

This was a special order shaft and the club cost me a small fortune however to be fair to Titleist they were brilliant and I had it back with a new shaft and another headcover (I didn't send mine back with the club)within 7 days!

To be honest, your club is a rather old now and out of any warranty, I would have told then stick it if it was taking that long or costing that.

You could have picked up an Aldila NV or Grafalloy Prolaunch shaft for £30 and had it fitted for £10 easily enough!

I remember once my 7iron being a steel shaft the head went one way into the dam and the ball went i found it rather amusing even though I like my 7 it served me well .

Never been a fan of graphite/carbon they are too prone to hairline fractures which can't be seen by the naked eye whereby over a period your club will break eventually .
