i know some others on here have these irons, do you find the outer black bits mark easily??

Unless you can hit bang on centre i have found with mine that where i have had a mis strike on the black bit of the face it has marked the club easily

It's what put me off buying them. Although the G20s do also mark but the matt finish seems to show it less.

i brought them because i quite liked the finished look on these irons, i just didnt think they would mark so easily!!

Not alot i can do now, just learn to hit the ball bang on center!!

Yep! I'm a bit OCD (ok a lot) and they also show water marks and the demo 7 iron I took on the course constantly needing cleaning...

I have them and can't say I have noticed?!

Ps. That is NOT me saying I strike the ball sweetly every time! Lol

couple of guys at the club have these and i swear they now have a sweatspot mark on the toe they have hit so many there :(

Yes they can mark easy my SW has a bad mark on the shank but I promise ive never shanked the ball....

Im also abit OCD but ive decided golf clubs are made to hit balls at high speeds and are going to mark sometimes especially if you have dirt or grit on the ball. Just go out and enjoy using them thats what ive decided to do. I still have head covers on though.

Its a shame as I like the look of the matt finish. It a pity if its going to mark up so easily. The R11 beng a traditional face hasn't suffered the same problem and I'm sure if I lok hard enough one of the irons must have had the sweetspot used by now
