Any of you guys tried both of the above, or even the M2 'old' model v Titlesit

Appreciate its personal choice but valued your opinion

Ian

I recently dropped the TM fairway and hybrids for the Titliest fairway and 816's... not convinced I've done the right thing.

I've not tried the Titleist fairway but switched out the 816h1 for the new m2 hybrids. The TMs launch high and are long. I just couldn't get on with the titleist

I've tried both, albeit briefly, and the M2 with probably the wrong shaft. Personally preferred the titleist for its consistency and feel, though it wasn't as long as the M2 which felt hot on some strikes. I imagine it could be a bit inconsistent with length

Had 2 M2 fairways, one with a stiff shaft, one with a X stiff shaft. Length wise, they are immense but dispersion was massive. Got rid as I couldn't trust them. I've got the 917 fairway now, no where near as long but much much tighter dispersion. (had one today, 240yrd out from a par5. Missed the green by 1yrd. The M2 would have been a whole fairway wide on the same shot)
Got a 816 hybrid which I love, just don't get to use it so much in winter.

Hit the new M2 5 wood against my 915 last night.

With the stock shaft the M2 went reeeeel high, but no noticeable distance gain on my 915.

Admittedly not a fair test shaft for shaft but have done enough to put me.off. which is a good thing

I absolutely love my 915 hybrids. Will be in the bag for years.

Hybrids are not about hitting them as far as possible. they are about hitting specific distances.

My 27 goes approx 185 carry
24 goes approx 200.

So much easier than long irons.

Really interesting - had an hour with them today

I couldn't hit the H1 or H2 - it was a nightmare - would then pick up the M2 and boom

But .... the fairways were another story .. 917F2 are lovely .. to the point of booming the 13.5 so far that I may have found my driver .. and will go for the 18 as well and keep the 22 M2H

The TM stiff is stock Reax 65 and the Titleist, of course ... is Blue 70 and Red 60 .... so am going to have to hit both
..
But am defenitely switching the fairways .. the new M2's were nowhere near last years (personal opinion I know) .. but interesting that they said they are still selling more '16 M2's fairways than '17 ....
